Notice of Real Estate Value Change
You received a Notice of Real Estate Value Change this year because your property underwent a change. Usually one or a combination of things occurred.
New Construction – There was an improvement made to the parcel of property and the improvement is being added to the value of the parcel.
Percentage of Completion – When a property is under construction and reaches 50% or greater percentage of completion on January 1st of that year it is added to the value of the property.
Remodel – An existing improvement on the property has undergone a remodel effecting the value of the property.
Demolition – A building or improvement is no longer on the property changing the value of the property.
Additions – Adding on an additional room, outer building, deck, patio, driveway or fence are just a few of the many additions to a parcel of property that would have an effect on the property’s value.
